Candidates for Public Procurement Officers Ready for the Knowledge Test

To enhance the skills and knowledge of candidates for public procurement officer roles, a three-day webinar was held from October 23 to 25, organized by the Office for Public Procurement with support from the "EU Public Finance Management Facility" project.

This workshop was aimed at candidates for certification as public procurement officers responsible for managing procurement procedures within their organizations. To become certified, candidates must pass an exam that verifies their understanding and capability in public procurement processes.

During the online training, participants gained comprehensive knowledge of public procurement laws and regulations, covering each stage of the process—from procurement planning and cost estimation to bid evaluation and contract management. Special emphasis was placed on using electronic tools and the Public Procurement Portal, equipping future officials to address the challenges they may face in procurement operations.

The workshop was led by senior advisors and unit heads from the Public Procurement Office, who shared essential insights and practical advice based on their experience and expertise, guiding future colleagues through the critical steps of the procurement process.

The webinar also included knowledge assessments to help participants prepare for the upcoming certification exam. The significance of this training is underscored by the attendance of approximately a thousand participants.

This webinar is part of the "EU Public Finance Management Facility " project, financed by the European Union and implemented by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), in partnership with the Center for Excellence in Finance (CEF) and the Ministry of Finance of Slovakia.
